We stopped into this place on a whim. The food was good, especially the hummus. Service was good and made you feel at home without overwhelming you with attention. Just right, I would say.

Excellent food! The spanikopita is amazing and a must try! Staff are friendly and helpful. This restaurant is a rare find in the U.P.

Rating is based on standards in Sault, where this seems one of better choices. We had hits with an excellent basil feta burger (a special the days we were there but waitress says usually available even if not on menu) and a combo plate with four separate Greek specialties. Friendly staff, pizza parlor ambiance.

Zorba's is another resturant that surprises me for the quality of food in the Sault. I really enjoy the atmosphere as well. The tables are more of a private setting. Great for a date night or some decent dinner with friends. The ordering process is great for carry out as well! They really have it together down there.

Great Gyro, nice to eat somewhere where they don't hold back on the feta cheese and cucumber dressing. Lots of good food on the menu with a friendly atmosphere. Make sure to hi to Shane. He's an old friend I hadn't seen in 15 years.

Definitely a small-town, family-run kind of place. The menu is not large, but I'd always rather eat at a place where the kitchen does a few things REALLY well rather than a bunch of things just so-so. Excellent pita and side salad, as well as very friendly service.

Zorba's is such a great place with a great variety of Greek and American fare. It is by far the best place to sit down and eat dinner in the Soo. Immediately upon arrival you feel welcome as the wait and kitchen staff greet you as you walk in the door. Really clean place with great decor and a more intimate private setting (if you sit in a booth). If it your first time at Zorba's I would highly suggest a classic gyro or one of the souvlaki dinners (chicken, shrimp, or pork are your options for the kabob). Traditional greek food with great taste and good portions. The pizza is phenomenal, I would even say the best in the Soo! There are a great selection of appetizers including hummus and pita chips, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, spanikopita, bruschetta, and FETA FRIES. I highly recommend the feta fries. I'm not exactly sure if they are on the menu yet, but they are often found on the "Specials" board. I love Zorba's and every time I come home I will come visit, eat, and say hi. Such a special place! And once you are done eating you can walk through the door in the middle of the restaurant and hit up my favorite bar in the area; The Alpha. :)

4 stars for the Soo, if it were in Detroit's Greektown it would be a 3 at best, but for the Soo it is a good break from burgers and fries. Pizza is very good. Love the Baklava. The Gyros and other Greek items are good for the Soo

By far one of my favorite locally owned restaurants! Zorba pita chips with tzatziki sauce and a Mediterranean chicken pita mmmmmmmmm. Their pizza isn't bad either ! Never hurts to hit up the alpha bar that is attached as well. Look out though they serve quite a stiff mixed drink :-)

This place is ok. Their menu is a little lacking their is no falafel and not very many vegetarian options. The gyro meat I added to my Greek salad was dry and too thinly sliced. The salad was swimming in too much oil. I ordered a side of fries, asking for just a side not the appetizer portion, I ended up with the appetizer portion. The prices are good and it's the only Greek place in town so if you are wanting Greek food this is the only place to go. Their menu also includes several pizzas.

Tried the pizza on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was friendly and homey but the food is what will make me come back on my next visit to the Sault.

Unbelievable, but they have the best Pizza in town. Dont eat what tey call "Greek Food" - eat their Pizza instead. My rating increases now from one to two stars. Yes, my rating is still low and I rate it as the best Pizza in town, but they dont use fresh ingredients on their Pizza - a lot of things are frozen or from a can and supplemetary purchased. Service is nice, but interior is in bad shape and toilet is always dirty. The way I see it: 2 stars is the right rating.

One of my favorite places to eat in the Soo. I've been in town for work for 7 weeks now and have sampled a lot of different restaurants in town. I'd put Zorbas in the top 5. Everything is made fresh and seems to come from home/family recipes. The Spanikopita is great and not overly wrapped in filo dough. The "pita chips" are great. The moussaka may not look too appetizing, but the flavors are great. The sandwiches and gyros are delicious. The mahi-mahi dinner is very flavorful. The only thing I haven't been impressed by is the greek salad. I'm used to kalamata olives and pickled beets on a greek salad and I was disappointed not to get them on my salad. Zorbas is yet another small restaurant, so you'll have to go early or wait in line. Or just sneak next door to the Alpha Bar as it is connected to Zorbas and they share a menu.

As places to eat in Soo go, this is one my favorites. Unfortunately, I don't make it there often since my SO is not a fan. They have a somewhat limited menu, so he feels like he is forced to order the same meal everytime. It sounds like a personal issue to me. The menu basically consists of Greek food and pizza. Both are really good. They have an excellent Greek salad with grilled chicken. Even the regular salad you get with your meal is really good. The atmosphere is so-so, nothing to write home about. The waitstaff are always very nice. Overall highly recommended.

This place is located right in downtown Sault Ste Marie with street parking nearby. It's only a 10 minute walk to see the Soo Locks so it's a convenient location if you're planning a day of tourism. The interior is fun! I love the cartoon caricatures on the wall, filled with lots of 'Greek' humor. The place mats are full of interesting facts about Greek culture, superstitions and old folk lore tales so I learned a thing or two while waiting for my food. I went with a large 'House Favorite' pizza which is their best seller and comes in 8 big slices. They don't skimp on the ingredients, so expect a plethora of pepperoni, bacon, onions, mushrooms, feta, mozzarella & hot peppers. I got a side salad to go with it which was nothing special but the house dressing jazzed the whole thing up. Our waitress was swamped with customers (she seemed to be the only one on the floor) but did a great job despite it all. Zorbas has bottled beer which is a plus and their other soft drinks come in a can. The restrooms are exceptionally small so be careful! They do have free WI-FI which is awesome because when us 'trolls' start heading up north, our cell phone service can go a little haywire. The verdict? Ok food for a growling stomach. If I was in town again, I'd probably venture off and try another downtown eatery though.

Good food. Strongly suggest the lamb gyro over the chicken. Fries are double cooked and perfectly crispy. Decent atmosphere.

Hands down best food in town so far. The gyro was light and filling. Feta fries were delicious. You can even choose to eat at the bar next door... BONUS!

Great Greek food. Salad, hummus, and pita all great. Apparently the place to eat in this town and it didn't let us down.

The meal definitely lived up to expectations!! OMG. The Spanakopita is home made and if you are in Soo you simply HAVE to have some. Even if it is all you have. I also sampled the Dolmades which the will serve individually as a side. The Gyro was solid, not super-special but very good. The fries are battered which I'm not a fan of, I prefer simple cut fries, but of the battered fries I've eaten these were among the best. Not sure what seasonings they use, but they should market the fry seasoning to sell. ...but the spanakopita....
